Default HELP!!!! Crossbars for 2013 ?

I've bought and used the cheap $30 Ebay aluminum crossbars with locks, on other vehicles - and now need them for my '13 Outlander.
All of a sudden, it doesn't look like any of the cheap universals will fit ?
I'm not looking to spend the $150-200 (and up) on fancy ones.
Have any of you '13 owners gotten any? What works, and what doesn't?

I am going on a trip in a week - so it's a little urgent.

Just did a quick ebay search and I see a lot of generics ranging from $50 to $100. My oem's are about 52" long. I see a bunch of 53" sizes. Why do you say they don't fit? Is there something about the '13 rails I'm not aware of?

Hi,
Thanks for your response.
Looking at all of the auctions under "see if it fits" - They all are for 2006 - 2011, and a few 2012, but none show the 2013. (Except for the $200+ ones.)
I don't know why.
I just don't want to get stuck with having to send them back if they don't fit.
I have no idea if the racks on the '13 are wider or ?
One of the cheap chinese ones actually gives an actual measurement of the minimum requirement of the rack itself - I'll check on that tomorrow and see if it's just a matter of 2013 being omitted or if they simply don't fit.
Then there's the fact I would need them by Friday….
I might just go spend the $90 at Wal Mart and see if their universal one fits - if not, I can just bring it right back….

You are kind of screwed with the quick turnaround. Even if they offer free shipping, you will likely pay a premium for expedited. However, I am sure you can find one that fits. I believe the Outlander chassis has been the same from 08?-16. The only key things you need to know is the size and mounting points. Not sure if you have raised rails, flush rails, or no rails, as these often vary by year and model. The compatibility lists often miss certain models. I noticed this even in the big name racks. Generic racks are meant to fit as wide a range of cars as possible so I'm sure you'll find a fit. You will probably need the 53" size but not sure about your mounting points on your model. Hopefully you find one locally. Good luck.

Thanks bud! I have the "regular" raised rails - I think I will either build one myself with 2x4's and wire shelving for a platform (temporarily for the trip) - or just try the Wal Mart one for $90 which is an easy return since it's local.
Appreciate it.

Keep in mind when searching for parts on the Outlander.. that the the 2013 model year for US and Euro/Asia is different... overseas 2013 is like the US 2014 model...

whenever searching for parts for my 2013, if it fits the 2012, that is what I get

Thanks!
I ended up building a nice wooden slat platform for about $25. Can't beat the price and functionality. It's only for my business trips so I'll store it when not in use.
