Another test you could also just touch the battery with the wires that are ment to plug into the factory fog connectors to see if the bulbs and ballast work.

i know the bulbs and ballast work.. i tested them with my low beams. Im going to try and install them without the harness, is that safe? it wont blow my electrical system?

Would i need a capacitor with the harness, maybe?

With out knowing the amp draw I cant make a 100% accurte answer. Every single Hid Fog light kit I have installed I never used a harness.

The factory H11 bulb draws around 5 amps. My 55 watt hid kit draws 3.4 amps on startup and 2.9 A while lit.

Early "Cheap" hid kits where known for drawing alot of amps on startup and melted the wires.

In your instructions link steps 4 5 & 6 the connectors will plug in 2 ways try switching them but the first time make sure the lock on the connector locks on the tab of the opposite connector. Are you sure the fuze in the red wire is ok?

OK so both sides work if you wire to battery, & your factory fogs work if plugged into the factory harness. Then that leaves the relay kit not working. You could have a bad relay or the wires from the relay harness are not seeing the "on" signal from the factory fog harness. This is the one I think is the problem & that you need to try to switch the wires to check polarity. Or you have a bad harness or relay it self.

Wire them direct is an option and I think you will be fine. Did you buy the cheaper kit with the larger ballast or did you get the digital slims?

i got the regular ones and got 55W, i think the relay is bad but im scared to just plug the hids to my factory harness bc i dont want to blow out anything..

i feel more secure with the relay being attached.

Well if you dont want to deal with getting a new harness with the seller I know I have 2 or 3 spares. I'll test it and mail it to you $15.00 plus 4.95 shipping you will have by the weekend.

Wait where do you live?
