Default HIDs

I posted this question in the sticky HID postabove but I'm not sure if anyone saw it so I'm just going to start a new thread for my question...

I want to put HIDs in my headlights but I'm not sure exactly what I need to get. I want to put in something which is decent quality and that won't burn out or fade after a year. I've been looking around ebay and such and I ran into this:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/XENON-HID-Kit-D2S-H7-9006-9007-Mitsubishi-OEM-Philips_W0QQitemZ140299743621QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMo tors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item14029974 3621

It says it's a Mitsubishi OEM kit, so I assume it's good quality, build, etc correct? Would that be all I need to put into my Outie and then just buy bulbs for it? Is there anything else I'd need, relays, aftermarket conversion kit (what is that anyways?), etc?

Also, where can I get good quality bulbs that won't start fading or diming after a year? I'm looking for 5000K bulbs as I want it very white, but with no blue tint. I'd appreciate any push in the right direction here...I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on it either

Thanks to anyone who can help me!

there is a big thread on the HID conversion. you will have to go look through old posts, which is all that we would have to do to direct you to it anyway. so you may as well just find it on your own.

Jee thanks. I already stated I looked in that thread and posted in there but no reply. I was hoping that there'd be someone who knows about HIDs that'd be able to help me because I'm asking pretty basic questions. A post saying "go look elsewhere" isn't very helpful and is just taking up space. I'd rather no one answered and this thread just gets pushed down.

I know that the auction you posted ended. But it looks like you would need more than just what it provided. Need some connecting wires to the battery and such.

You need to find a kit that includes everything including the bulbs. Because when you start mixing parts from different kits, things may not always go well. Or if something goes bad, it will be tough to get fixed.

Get a kit that includes all wiring, ballasts, igniters, bulbs, and some may include relays.

Thanks tdford. I'll email the seller because I know he has more and I'll see if he has cables, etc for them.

Another question I had was regarding Daytime Running Lights. I want to make my fog lights my DRLbecause I don't want the HIDs on at full brightness all the time. Is there a way to do this?
