How to remove glove box?
#2
On damn near every glove box removing Is just pushing the sides of the box itself together and letting it fall down -
So open your glove box, from the latch and then squeeze the inside sides of the part that is sliding

This applies to a 2006 model but probably to other years also
The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box. Remove everything from glove box.
There is a simple step to remove the glove box. On the left side of the glove box (side towards driver) there is a peg on a tab that keeps the glove box from opening all the way. You have to remove that peg and then you can squeeze the side of the glove box on the other side to get that round peg stop to clear.
So to repeat… the catch the sticks out on the left side is removable. The stop on the other side you just squeeze the glove box side in slightly to get that one to clear.
Steps for removing the removable stop.
Open the glove box enough to put your hand in there and push the left peg towards you. It will slide towards you and loosen up and then you can push it into the glove box through the hole it is in. (You might need to push in on it a little while pushing the peg towards you.)
Now that other side just takes a bit of a squeeze to get the stop to clear the place it catches.
After those steps you can swing the glove box all the way down towards you. There is a white plastic cover which is the side of the air filter. Remove the two screws and slide it out. (It is possible there will be no filter to slide out if one was never installed by the dealer - in this case I believe there is a permanent cover in that spot...supposedly you can puncture it to open it up to install a filter but I'm not sure of that.)
Slide the new filter in and pay attention to the arrow that points to the direction of air flow which should be down I believe. Actually, there is only one way the filter will fit back in because of a little peg hole by the lower screw opening.
Tighten the screws and you’re done with that part. (Don’t over tighten screws so not to strip the threads).
Close the glove box enough to get the right side stop in place and enough for you to put that peg back in through the hole on the left side. It will snap back into place as you slide it back after inserting it.
