Default I have a 2010 Outlander GT

About 700 miles on it now. Had it a week so far. Wanted to use this thread for people who may be interested to ask me questions. I do have the Nav package. I had a 2007 XLS that I traded for this car.

How much did you get for your trade-in?

I got $16,500 for my 2007 XLS. Had 32000 miles on it. Had everything including Rear DVD, backup camera that I installed (thanks to this forum) and trailer hitch.

With the $1000 rebate for repeat customer and the 1.9% for 48 months, my monthly payment is $80 less than the 2007.

Question about the Nav...

Did you have it on your 07?
I have an 09 and the Nav just plain sucks. Is the one in the 10 much better? Newer maps, etc?

Thanks

I did have Nav on the 07, same interface, which I've gotten used to and think is fine.

It's a 2008 map, which isn't ideal but seems ok right now.

Two changes from my old Nav: Traffic pattern updates through RDS which is pretty slick (and free) and lane guidance.

What are the interior upgrades in terms of materials? I noticed different door panel design, but how are the materials?

The panel covering the instrument cluster is leather as well as the glove box and the upper part of all the doors. Softer to rest your left elbow when driving. Nice touch, but not super luxurious. All the other materials seem to be the same (that plastic carbon fiber looking stuff). The one thing that's lost is the storage compartnment in the middle of the dash, that I loved. Not sure why that went away.

The seats seem about the same, but not squeaky like my last driver's seat was.

Took a drive down to Chicago last weekend. I think they used more sound deadener, because it's much more quiet inside than the 2007 XLS.

Glad to hear it's more quiet. That's my biggest complaint about my 2007. How's the wind noise at speed?

Also, do you find the slight improvements to the engine noticeable at all in daily driving? What about the S-AWC system? Any thoughts/comments on that compared to the old AWC system? Does it reduce/eliminate torque steer when in tarmac?
