I just purchased a 2014 Outlander ES. The radio has a media button and when I press it, the screen says "No Usb Input". I looked in the center console and there is no USB Port. What parts do I need to install either a USB Port or a Bluetooth input? For past vehicles I have installed GROM audio devices but GROM says they only make compatible devices for 2013 Outlander and older. Does anybody have suggestions?

 

Do you see a cig light plug in (like for a cell phone) in the center console?
Both my wifes 14 and my 16 have a power port there that's got a cover on it, and the USB port is there also.
I plug my music into it and that's pretty much all I use for tunes when driving. There should be a little plastic cover/door to lift up at the back of the center console/arm rest.

 

Mine has the cig lighter in the center console but I do not see a USB port. I had expected there to be one but unless it's totally hidden, I don't have it.

 

Well I checked my wifes 14, and I check Edmonds.com and checked out the specs on 14's. I took a pic of the wifes center console, one of the front key port area, and one off the brochure photo's from Edmonds, and it shows it "without" the USB port.


I imagine if you have Bluetooth capabilities, you could get a cig lighter input that has a USB port on it, you could get it to work.


Otherwise your looking at getting a USB port added in from a stereo shop most likely.
