Default Intermittent rough running at speed

Hi all.. I have a 2014 Outlander Automatic with the 2.3 4n14 diesel engine. Mileage is 130,000. Lately I've been getting rough running and loss of power when reaching speeda above 50mph... the car will start to miss and lose power.. the only way to continue is to pull over and wait a few seconds.

I've fitted a new PCV on the fuel pump, and if anything the problem is worse. The car starts fine and can be driven around town with no problems... acceleration at low speeds is fine... the problem only seems to occur after a few minutes running at speed.

There are no codes whatsoever... I'm wondering if the replacement part could be faulty and sticking.. my mechanic has suggested replacing the pressure sensor on the common rail... or could it be the furl pump itself?

Any ideas gratefully recieved!
