Default Japanese Navigation Controls

Hi All

First of all this forum is great and I am learning a lot from it.
Secondly I have recently purchased a 2005 second Gen Outlander and my MMCS (J-01) is in Japanese (Which I think is the norm, going off what I have read so far). Now my problem is the Navigation voice has been talking every two minutes to me in Japanese which is becoming quite annoying. I wonder if anyone can help me either turn the voice comand off or turn the Nav off totally without disrupting the reversing camera?

Now if you can help you may have to guide me through it stage by stage as I can not read Japanese and would be pretty time consuming to do it by trial and error.

Thanks for your help

I started the same thing on our 2005 by pushing something I was not suppose to. I ran the battery flat trying options randomly to fix
I'm watching the how to unlock the MMCS thread which you will be able to flash the j-01 to have it use the EM (European) version instead of JM(Japanese). I also downloaded an English version of the user manual so will let you know if I get the right setting.

I have a Pajero with Japanese version MMCS. Can you explain how I can at least get the EM version so I can have in English? Have spoke to NZ dealer and he said nothing is available here.
