Default Led drl

Hello all. New here to this forum and loving it so far. So my question is; I just purchased a new 2014 Outlander Sport SE AWC recently. It came with the LED day time running lights, which are under the fog lights, but they are only on during the day. I love how they look and want them on during the night as well. Is there any way to turn them on during the night? I also have HID. Thx for any and all responses.

It is possible. ETACS settings need to be changed.

Stock DRL rewired to LED strips, still staying on once HIDs kick in.

Update your forum profile with location, there might be a forum member able to do it for you in your area.

I've also been thinking about ways of adding LED strips/accents to my newly acquired 2012 XLS (HID); Vadimus, are your strips mounted outside or inside the light housing? I see there's a nice gap under the chrome inside the housing, but assume to get anything in there would require an unsealing of the housing - not something my wife would look too kindly on with our week-old new car!

Those strips were side glow LED ones mounted on the bottom of headlight (outside) so LEDs are facing front.

No headlight backing was required.

Please note that they lasted for less than year and then one side has failed.
The build quality or our salty winters to blame but for $15 price I will install a new set once winter is over.

If you install the relay and switch for fogs, and reprogram the ETACS, you can turn the DRL's back on when the HID's are on.

Read this thread: https://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/mi...fog-kit-25231/

It's about 10 pages. We had to figure out how to do this on the early models. Should work for your newer '14. The ETACS instructions are in there too.

Awesome suggestions; I'll have to carefully go through everything.
