Something to add..
If AWD/4WD is important. The Mitsubishi system is always active (to varying extends)..the VUE and the CRV are reactive..you can't force them active..not sure about others

Me the same, I did try Equinox, Vue (Ecotec engine - 4 cylinders, Honda - 6 cylinders) and stop at Outlander.
Equinox - 3.4L V6 too much gas, Vue - noisy engine, cheap interior plastics
