Default MAF sensor

My maf sensor readings were showing increase air flow into the engine even at idle without touching the throttle so it was putting to much gas in the engine and flooding it out. The engine was running very rough, Hesitating, stalling and dying. So I replaced the MAF sensor and the same thing happens. Can't keep the engine running. So i unplugged it and the vehicle seems to run good with it unplugged. So I have a new faulty sensor or what is happening. Apparently the computer is using other signals other than the ones from the sensor. Any ideas what is going on.. This is on a 2003 Outlander. Why would both sensors be sending the wrong data..

Default Why

Excessive resistance in the line somewhere, usually occurs at a plug (corroded or loose)

Ohms law = More resistance will change the voltage reading and thus the ECM gets the wrong signal even with a good sensor
