Default MAF sensor

My maf sensor readings were showing increase air flow into the engine even at idle without touching the throttle so it was putting to much gas in the engine and flooding it out. The engine was running very rough, Hesitating, stalling and dying. So I replaced the MAF sensor and the same thing happens. Can't keep the engine running. So i unplugged it and the vehicle seems to run good with it unplugged. So I have a new faulty sensor or what is happening. Apparently the computer is using other signals other than the ones from the sensor. Any ideas what is going on.. This is on a 2003 Outlander. Why would both sensors be sending the wrong data..

Default Why

Excessive resistance in the line somewhere, usually occurs at a plug (corroded or loose)

Ohms law = More resistance will change the voltage reading and thus the ECM gets the wrong signal even with a good sensor

Did you end up getting a diagnosis on he error? I am having the same issues and 100% get the juddering. I've seen others not quite understand the comment about the juddering. Best way I can put it is that it seems it is misfiring, struggling to put power down so feels like on again, off again power in very short bursts.. I cleaned the MAF sensor with the appropriate cleaner, made no difference. No fault codes have been thrown. No check engine light appears. I left it with the mechanic for 2 weeks and they could not recreate the fault which was annoying. It seems to happen most at highway speed, going up hill or making sharp turns. At low speed, driving through suburbia, it seems fine and you wouldn't know that there were any issues. Hoping that you found a solution or anyone else knows what the problem could be. The car was checked for hose leaks and did have a hose replaced recently. Not a leak. My guess is something to do with the fuel line potentially. Either a faulty pump or filter, but the issue is it only happens at the times mentioned above.
