Misfire Outlander 2007
Hi I have a 2007 outlander with moreless 40,000 miles.
Driving at highway speed suddenly check went on and of.
Since then at idle you can feel a vibration. Exhaust system sound funny.
I drove to the dealer and my outlander has been there for the past 3 weeks and they can not find the fault.
they checked sparkplug, ignition coils, compression, fuel inyector, throtle valve , maf sensor, engine ecu, all reflash done.
And other several things.
Anyone with an idea of whats wrong.
With scanner you can read misfire in all pistons its a v6
thanks.

Crank sensor maybe? They should be able to diagnose it...and replace the engine if not able to find the problem. 3 weeks is way too long. I would call Mitsubishi corporate and raise the issue with them.

I had a misfire issue in my 09 LS V6. The truck was parked for 5 days (in cold Canada winter weather), it cranked no problem, but once it started, the engine sputtered and misfired for about 3 or 4 seconds, then went to idle as normal. The engine light was on for about 2 days and the morning I started it up to go to the dealer, the light went out. Typical.
I originally parked the truck with a full tank, so I dont think there was any condensation issues in the fuel tank, but I have no idea what it could have been

I had this issue or similar once, but that was a while back. It's been pretty reliable otherwise.
Also, why would anyone call Outlander a truck? It's just a bigger lancer with more features and not even close to being a truck.

I know that, but its easier calling it a truck.
"hey honey, did I leave my jacket in the Lancer based utility vehicle?"
doesnt roll off the tongue.
Plus it's fun to **** off people who have to pick apart all the tiny details in other peoples posts.
