My 01 galant has a severe misfire problem. For the past 4 months it has given me problems. I started trying to fix the problem by changing plugs, wires and even the coil pack 3 times. The problem temporarily goes away when a new coil pack is in, but the miss comes back and gets worse with time. There is a ground connector spliced into one of the 3 wires that connect to the plug that attaches to the coil pack. This ground is for an automatic car starter. Could this be a potential reason for the miss?. The car hasn't been to a dealership...yet. If I can't fix it soon that's where it'll go. Help!
