Default Missing USB and Bluetooth from Outlander 2012

Hi guys,

I did a ton of search here and on google, and i am very surprised that i am the only one with that problem.

Thing is: i don't have any USB port and bluetooth module on my Outlander 2012 LS.

Does anyone knows more about it ? There is no official paper on it on mitsubishi web site...

Both are accessories according to the Mitsubishi USA site (I assume you are from the states):

They are options, and not included. The vehicle is prewired and 'ready', but you have to pay extra for the equipment to be added. I had a salesman tell me they were included -he was incorrect and later corrected by the purchasing manager for the dealership.

Is it a Canadian vehicle, or American?
I work at a Mitsubishi Dealership in Canada, and I had an LS come off the truck with an Aux input, but no USB. Which is odd, because the AUX IN was deleted because of the addition of USB standard on all trimlines. Apparently it was a manufacturing error.

Just went over this on the phone with my salesman for my loaded '12 GT.

Basically when the earthquake/tsunami/everything else hit Japan, the supplier for the Bluetooth modules was affected. Previously this was included, but due to a parts shortage it was turned into an add on, that is installed at the port/dealership as opposed to the factory.

You can have it added at the dealership, it's like $300-400, and is the same exact thing as if it were installed at the factory. Mine's going to be added back in before it comes to me.

That's kind of strange, the module is made by JCI in France:

I just bought my 2011 at the dealer and it has the Bluetooth and USB. However when I was test driving I was told th exact same thing. He said some units didn't have the bkuetoothe and USB due to the tsunami so you have the check before you buy.
