Yes, kind of resolved but nothing that will help you I'm afraid. I spent months trying to fix this: RAC callout, local garage 3 times, Mitsubishi main agent twice, OBD scanner to try and narrow down the problem myself, all to no avail. So my solution, I'm sorry to say, was to give up and sell it in exchange for a new car. I hope someone managed to get to the bottom of the problem because it was a lovely car apart from that
