Default Mitsubishi outlander tyre size

Hi,

I have Yokohama Geolander 215/70r16 and I find the road noise a lot. I am thinking of changing it to Michelin/Dunlop 235/70r16.
I could find info on 235/65r16 but not on 235/70r16.

Can I change to this? Will the tyres touch fender/cause any other issues while driving?

Please advise
Thanks

The 235 is large in diameter, your speedometer and odometer will be 4% off. Also, a wider tire will be worse in the snow, but better off road.

You also want to check what the minimum rim width is for the tire you select. If it calls for 7.5" wide, it won't work on the factory rim.

The 225 is close to the fender as it is, depending on the rim offset and tire width, it's close to tell if it'll fit.
