Depends on what the slowest car he's ever driven is. He obviously has never driven a 1976 V6 Pinto or a Austin Marina.

The Lancer has 152 hp and CVT transmission, so it should be competitive with cars in its class. One of the main advantages of a CVT is that it gives you a wider gear ratio, so you get more punch off the line and more relaxed RPMs on the freeway. I doubt there will be much difference in speed between a stick and a CVT.

If he really needs power then he should wait for the turbo versions to come out.

My friend test drove the new auto 08 lancer and said it was the slowest thing he has ever been in. Doesnt sound too good the the lancer. I hope the stick model has more horse POWAAAA.

Wow, I was just browsing through MSN Autos (http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Co...odel=Outlander). The user rating for the 2007 Outlander is 9.6/10. People absolutely love this vehicle! (It's easy to see why!)

I'm starting to think that the people who do the professional reviews are ever so slightly out of touch with what people are actually looking for in a vehicle. While they unanimously give the Outlander high marks, they don't seem to "get it" in the same way that the average Outlander owner does (i.e. they're not "gushing", like most Outlander owners seem to be). Perhaps they reviewed an early, unfinishedproduction version or something...

The "professional" reviewers are either ignorant or biased or a little bit of both when theyratethevehicles. Most of the times they have performance numbers or measurements, but their comments do not reflect those all the times. The reader still has to do his/her job and compare the data. In general, they think that noother car could beata Honda or Toyota, which I find it fundamentally wrong.

no, there problem is that all they do all day is drive diffrent cars... and usually, they get handed the "very best" off the assembly line, so the manufacturers keep a good reputation, and get better marks.
The problem with all that is, they never stay in a car long enough to really, really know what it is all about.

Oh, and the slowest car I have ever drivenn was a YUGO... no ****, a YUGO... wow, that was an experience.
