Just swapped the original Toshiba 40GB with a used Hitachi HTS541010G9AT00 (100GB 5400RPM) and added the M190 EU maps.

As far as I see the Music Server is veeery slow to upload the screen data every time you switch the car on (1-2mins)

Anyone had this issue?

Thanks in advance for all your advices!

Hi Wivaldibb , nice to have you replied us. Thanks!

Well , last evening I tried the Coldbooting and , you're right , it's not booting at all ("Insert program disk") , while with the original Toshiba is back to normal operation...

Is there a way to circumvent this problem or now I'm stuck with an old "slow" ide drive? (anyway is always a good backup one , right? )

Thanks again for your help in this very helpful and nice forum!

I've just swapped my drive for a 64Gb SSD drive and can confirm it is working OK.

I got the drive from Amazon here in the UK (it was £40.00) and it is a:

Zheino CHN-25PATA01M-064 - 2.5 Inch Pata 44pins Ide Solid State Drive 64gb for IBM Laptop

The Amazon link is: www.amazon.co.uk/Zheino-44pins-Solid-State-Laptop/dp/B00QQ7TKS4

The MMCS now boots up much quicker and the navigation screens are much faster (zooming in and out, selecting streets etc.).

Hope this helps someone.
