MMCS Head Unit - Manybrews or anyone else?

RE: MMCS Head Unit - Manybrews or anyone else?
Hey Soundcolor - when you pulled your radio you said in your other post that you just pulled the vents on either side - did you do this by hand, use pliers, etc. and how much force did you need to apply? I tried pulling with just my fingers but couldn't get them to budge and I don't want to break anything (unless I have to [8D]). It looks like the vents are also molded as part of the silver piece dash cover?
Please let me know if I'm way off base here - thanks.

by hand.
i used small, very thin blade flathead screwdriver on the bottom edge to pry it out a lttlefirst, then removed the rest of the way by hand.
the vents are molded into the silver cover, you have to remove the whole vent surround (each side is its own individual piece).
Hope that helps
