Default MMCS Music Server transfer help

How do I get songs off my MMCS lets say transfer to a hard drive or to a portable storage? The reason is I want a copy of it on my pc to listen to.

Do I just take out the drive from the navi?

First of all, the music is stored in a propriety format on the MMCS. It's not MP3, WMA, etc, etc.

Second, the HDD is locked. This would make it a pain to transfer the music, even if you could.

Read this thread about unlocking the HDD, but it's not going to help you get the music off. Sorry

Switch off Security Command Suport as I did using MHDD.Unlock is not necessary anymore, Just pull out caddy with HDD conect to USB with IDE 2,5" adapter. I'm looking how to copy *.sc files from other HDD to be recognised by Music Server of MMCS
