Default MMCS using the U.S. version in Europe

Can someone please advise? What is the problem of operating in the European version of the Outlander2011 original U.S. version of the navigation Lancer 2008? European versions have the designation NR-261EM, the U.S. NR-261UM. What needs to be done? It has the same cabling and can play the firmware (software) and maps to make things work? How is it then with unlocking? Thanks.

Hi,
I have a same problem. I was bought a used Mitsubishi i-Miev (2012) US version, but I want to use this car in Europe. I know that MMCS system is outdated, but can I updated/modificated that system from US to EU version?
