Actually I was misinformed with the trailer Reggie and car insurance... It's not as bad as I was lead to believe,,, but anyway I live in NYC and have limited space on my property
Even tried to rearrange my garage to accommodate a folding one...and the only way for my space to somewhat accommodate it is to remove the wheels! Not sure if I want to go through that every time I go out,, and no way I'm spending $1700-$2000 for a stinger or bull dog or the ace single bike trailers... I would consider it though if it was around the $1200 mark
Bottom line if I truly don't feel comfortable with the carrier idea then a trailer would be second in line or a bigger truck ...lol

Oh sorry, i was thinking regular outlander for some reason. I guess they don't have airbags for your car, i don't know if i'd put 300+ lbs plus cargo, fuel and possibly people in your car without them. Perhaps you can try calling sumo springs to see if they have something that'll fit your car. They fit on the spring itself,and not inside.

I have used this hauler setup for my '13 Outlander Sport for a few thousand miles with zero issues. The bike is a two stroke so it is bit lighter than the new thumpers so ymmv.

You might wanna check out "Custom Outlanders" on Facebook, I saw some guys with motorcycle carriers on there and they had big bikes (GSXR and some adventure bike, maybe a Tenere).

 

A quick trick used back in the 80's was to remove M/C front wheel reinstalling the axle to forks. Then lift front of bike onto tow hitch. Axle in front of ball, Two U bolts over the axle through the tow hitch for security. Then use tie downs to compress M/C suspension and attached somewhere close to tow hitch. A packer placed into brake callipers and rubber band on brake lever holds it in place. Throw the front wheel into back of car with your helmet etc. This gives you a single axle trailer that tracks and leans behind you. Some amazed looks from other drivers who wonder where the rider who ran up your back has got to. Not sure about the US but here in NZ as long as the bike was registered no issues with the law. If unregisterred (off road bike) then ensure your cars rego plate is visible to the rear and it would have to be a bad day to get pulled.
