Default Muted Bluetooth

09 XLS w/o Navi, 20K kms - recently bluetooth works but nothing comes through the speaker. Pressing the bt button give the bt icon on the console and the 'listening' word appears but can't hear anything such as the std greeting or the dialing even though I can see on my phone that it is dialing. Anyone else experience this problem?

I have sometimes the same problem. It's the problem of the phone. They will call and the Bluetooth stop the sound.
I use a HTC phone with Win Mobile 6.

Try deleteing your phone and then re-pairing it.

Also, if you (or someone else) has another bluetooth phone, pair that to the Outie. This way you can see if its an issue with the phone or the BT module in the Outie.

But, I guess if you are not getting and commands from the Outie BT Lady, its probably in the Outie.

It's not the phone. It worked fine before (Palm Treo w/Mobile) and I can see the call going through on the phone when I voice commanded the call, although had to guess on the timing on when to say 'yes' on the verification stage. I also pressed the BT button with the BT turned off of the phone and no voice telling me "Phone not available" through the car but the dash has the usual BT icon and 'Listening' display. I don't have any other phones paired to it so can't try another one but as per above I don't think it matters.
