Default My headlights are peeling off

I just noticed it today and it happens only on the left headlight, the right one looks good so far. I have no idea what that peeling layer is for but it seems to be spreading. There is no fogging or yellowing on the headlight, except this peeling problem. Check the picture for details.

Does anyone have any idea what is it and how can I fix it?

I had the same problem on my 2001 Montero Sport, I got the polishing kit and bingo good as new. Just be careful and lay some old blankets or a sheet over the top of the hood unless your going to a car wash afterword's. The kit was a cheap fix like 15 bucks at Harbor Freight tools and worked like a charm just keep in mind to spray water on the lens and don't let it dry out til the job is done. Good Luck Corbul.

I have one question regarding these 3M kits, it seems there are a few different part numbers on the internet. They all do the same thing, but somehow are different. Which one is the best, is it the one []bSERPENTOR[/b] posted?

I have a quick question regarding the headlights manufacturer. Can owners of 2007-2013 Outlanders take a look at what brand is on the headlight (manufacturer)? It should be either Stanley or TYC. I believe the original is Stanley, but on my car it is TYC and from what I understood TYC is an after-market headlight manufacturer.
I didn't have the car since new so it is possible the headlights might have been replaced with this TYC, maybe that's why it is peeling.
Thanks

Nobody? Please take a look at your headlights, the brand is easily visible on them, you don't have to do anything but take a quick look. I looked on a few "facelifted" 2010+ models and it didn't show anything on those so I guess the brand is present only on 2007-2010.

Towards the bottom, but so far I haven't seen any on the 2010+ Outlanders with the redesigned front.
For 2007-2009 owners, at the inner lower angle, there are some vertical striations on the lens. Right next to that on the side there are some DOT numbers, and the headlight brand. Please click on the picture on the first post and you will see it.
