I have a 2007 XLS and have been trying to update Gracenote for the last 4 years without success.
Tried again today, followed all the instructions on the Mits site and verified that the correct files are on the cd-rw. Insert the disk into the vehicle and all I get is "check disk".

What else do I need to do?

Any help appreciated.

 

I have always followed the instructions from the link below and had no problems but you must read and follow them carefully.

I have found to make it work that the three files ".UDT" ".UDX" and ".TXT" are not in a folder on the cd that you burn as the MMCS can not read it

 

I printed out the instructions and believe followed them to the letter.

The three files are in a folder. I opened the folder and individually drag and dropped each file into the cd in the bd rom drive then verified that they were on the disk.

I must be doing something wrong though, or perhaps there could be a fault with my vehicles MMCS system. Is there any way to check if it is working correctly as to accepting my written cd?
