By now (2018) all new cars should have Bluetooth hands free for mobile phone and fog light as standard.
Now we need, as standard, a phone holder with USB power outlet built into the dash-top (center) and possibly GPS Holder at the drivers window side of the dash so we do not have cables running every where from the console up to the dash.
The holder should be fairly simple - say an inclined rest with that sticky stuff to hold the phone still and with an overhead glare-cover to stop reflection onto the windscreen.
A simple HUD for speedometer and possibly GPS directions - adjustable brightness
How about photosensitive windscreen and door glass that darkens in daylight (to reduce solar glare and hot-parked-car syndrome) and goes clear for night driving.
