Hi all I thought I was bidding on a all wheel drive 2013 mit OL sport as the auctioneer claimed, but after winning bid of $1500 USD, I find out it is just a front wheel drive. But I am stuck with it. I am very mechanical and wll try and get her tuned up and running OK if possible and then decide if it is worth keeping as I was looking for a all wheel drive for colorado summer and winter car. The car has 160K miles and looks like prior owner(s) did little maintenance and trashed the interior, so lots of red flags. I found out the hard way by locking the driver's door that the lock is broken and had to get a locksmith to get door to open. Driving it 6 miles to my home, I suspect tranny/CVT as it seemed to loose power on uphill and also was some whirring noise coming from tranny. I think I do complete fluid and filter service first. I have done this before and saw the sticky here in how to drain not only the pan, but to loosen the lower hose going into fluid cooler and turn on car to drain out what is in the torque converter. Any direction of links would be helpful. I will check for codes first and then get the parts for both filters o rings, pan gasket and 3-4 gallons of the castrol CVT fluid which is compatible with the J4 diaqueen and get on it next few days. If CVT is shot, then I assume the car is junk and just sell it to junkyard and lick my wounds. I found this video on CVT filter and fluids, looks pretty good to me, maybe there is more I should know?
