Good morning all I recently got lucky scored a 2004 Mitsubishi outlander from an old couple with 60,000 miles on it and it is immaculate. I see that the stock tire size is 225/60/16. I recently bumped it up to 235/60/16. Now my question is I want to buy some Yokohoma Geolander ATS Tires and was wondering if I could fit a 215/70/16 with no problems or if anyone knows the biggest I can go with a 16. My size thoughts where
215/70/16
235/70/16
235/65/16
225/70/16
Anything as to what could fit and wont fit or anything at all would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

The size in bold MAY be pushing the limits a little...

stock 16" size 225/60/16 is a 26.6" tall tire (8.86" wide) on base models
stock 18" size 225/55/18 is a 27.7" tall tire (8.86" wide) on higher models

that being said.. the size in bold above (235/70/16) may be pushing the limits a little... 29" tire and 9.25" wide

but anything else you listed should fit fine...

just note.. a taller or shorter tire than your stock (26.6") will throw off the speedo

I have a 2004 the stock size is 225/60/16 I don't know if this model has 18s. If I look on tirerack the 18 inch size recommended is 235/50/18. So that being said the 18s are 27.25 diameter with a 9.25 width. So the 215/70/16 are 27.84 x 8.46 I mean I think I could get away with the 215/70
