Default Newbie with few questions

Hi All,
Just bought my 1st Mitsubishi, traded my Nissan, or should I say Renault Navara for a 2008 58 plate Outlander elegance in black, only collected her on saturday, over the moon with it, everything works as it should, sound system is awsome, only small issue, cant seem to get DVD to play, system will play copied DVD's , but not originals, can anyone shed any light why ?, also how do I go about updating the maps, I presumed it would be a DVD driven system like the Nissan, otherwise very happy with my new toy.

ps - it is possible to programme the ecu , so as when you lock the car, as well as the mirrors folding (so cool) the windows and sunroof will close also.
