My wife traded in her 2010 Outlander for a new 2024 Outlander SEL. After we drove it home, I checked the fluids under the hood. Everything was fine but there was no black plastic engine cover atop the engine. I called the dealer and was told they are no longer installed.

Welcome to the new world, I guess. Has anyone found a substitute cover?

 

Sorry, you bought a new car and didn't even pop the hood? I would check with Mitsubishi direct to confirm if there should be an engine cover or not. It sounds possible that your dealer may now have a spare cover in his inventory. I might just be wrong though.
