Just read the document and it look like exactly what i'm hearing it happen whenIdo a parking lot type maneuvers but what is stange it say that earlier builds (11/2006 and 12/2006) and mine was build in June 07. I will print a copy and go to my dealer and show them and hope they will do it. thanks a lot for the Info !!

 

I have an early build and had the noise for the first week or so that I had it....then it quit...strange.

 

If your having the thump noise and its in the front end, wont hurt to show the dealer. Its possible that them crazy japs starting using some of the old bearings to get rid of them.

 

The dealer actually said it could be something that "will wear out over time". But I don't have time to wait til it wears down so I went and had it fixed. They gave me a courtesy vehicle (06 Lancer) so I had no problem leaving them my Outlander. It might have wore down with time but I don't wanna wait, and I don't know how long I'd have to wait. Scares the heck out of my passengers and it's really hard convincing them of getting the Outlander with that clunk. I'm really proud of this vehicle and actually I'm convicing my friend to get one. It's just not fair for her to spend bucks on a Toyota when the Outlander is the best buy. Sometimes though, people are hard to convince especially if they know very little about cars and wanted to buy the famous brand.
