Non U.S. vin number

Non U.S. vin number
Hello, I am living outside U.S. and want to buy a Mitsubishi Outlander. Is there a way to check the VIN number for non U.S. cars.
For example the VIN number for the one I like is JMYXTCW5W9Z348734. I tried to decode this on various sites but these sites apparently only decode U.S. imports. Any idea.
