Default OBDII Live Data

I have an Actron 9180 scanner that I use on my truck and the outlander. I was playing with the outlander and recorded some data off of it. What looked really odd was the number of duplicate values.

When I do a scan on the "modules present", I get this:
$00 CAN(7E8)
$01 CAN(7E9)

Can someone help me understand? it looks like each module is reporting live data for each one.

Default A guess at best

I would think that the engine control module and transmission control module would both need access to the same information for proper action. Could those two modules be for the engine and trans? If so, polling them would give double the data. Is there some sort of "echo" setting on your scanner in the CANbus settings?
