At my short stop-in at the dealer this morning, i noticed at least 5 2009 Evos on his lot/showroom. Is this car a reasonable seller, to have that many sitting there? They look great, but are sales really that good that having a stock of them is a good idea?

my dealer says they rarely sell any of them. fairly expensive compared to other mitsu's. even with the bells and whistles it has...nobody is interested.

I don't think it's because nobody is interested, but rather not too many people can afford it, or would be willing to shell out that much money for it. Remember the Evo has been built as a road car but its specs is 90% race ready, so in essence, it is a rally car in the guise of a road car. In last months Rally Japan, the first Grp N spec Evo X's were competing for the first time, and won points in its maiden competition run.

If you look at it in the perspective of being your daily driver's car, then you won't be interested since it costs a lot of money. I think you'd be better looking at the Lancer instead. But if you know, and want, what the Evo offers, then you will see that it is actually a bargain. But then again, it's not for everyone, especially if you are not a big fan of rallies and WRC. WRC by the way, is not even on American TV, not even in cable or satellite, which is a pity for a 1st world country like the US.
