Outlander 2008 2.2 DID Glow Plugs
Hi all,
Does anyone reading this have any experience of replacing these plugs?
I've just had a quick look at the job ahead of me and can see that plugs no.1 & 2 (starting from left of engine as viewed from front of car) are straightforward, no.3 seems totally inaccessible without removing the intake manifold / egr valve assembly and no.4 is visible but almost as inaccessible as no.3.
Before I start the job, my question is can no.3 & 4 be replaced without removing the manifold assembly? If so, I'd be grateful for any guidance...?
Many thanks
Tom

I replaced mine a few years ago. I didn’t need to remove the intake manifold. I just used a long socket with a small extension bar and an angle / universal joint adaptor piece. A few grazed knuckles later and they were done. I got the engine nice and hot first to reduce the chances of them snapping off in the head. I used NGK glow plugs and haven’t had any issues since.
