Outlander 2014 ASC & 4WD system service required
Hi all - hope you can help!
2014 2.2D with 120k on the clock.
Last week at around 30 minutes into my journey, the ASC and the 4WD warning lights have come on along with the engine management light.
I took it to a garage last week where the turbo intercooler hosepipe was diagnosed as having a split in it. It's been replaced and was running absolutely fine but I've taken it on a longish journey today and getting up to 80 mph speed at about 25 miles into the journey the fault replicated itself.
The car was still drivable but it felt like I had lost all turbo, so I can only assume it was putting itself into limp mode.
Parked up at work for 5 hours and came back to the car are with only the engine management light on. Felt like it was driving fine but again after about half an hour or so the other two lights came on and it went into the limp mode setting. Through the vents the engine was smelling a little bit oily or diesely.
Absolutely no ideas on this one because I pretty much thought it was the intercooler hose as I could clearly see that somebody had made a bodge job of taping it up, and and I made a 2 + 2 estimation that it was the intercooler hose. It clearly is not unfortunately.
Something is causing the issue to occur when the car gets suitably warmed up. I've taken it on short trips around the town and for about 20 minutes and it doesn't seem to have any problems.
Anyone got any ideas please? I'm somewhat at a loss and any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

i think you will find your DPF is blocked, caused by the leak in the intercooler pipe. Check your engine oil level. Its likely it is very high, due to excess fuel after failed DPF regeneration attempts.
p0299 refers to an underboost situation
p0106 and p0107 refer to map sensor faults.
these may be caused by having a excess of soot in your inlet manifold, which can be caused by having a sticky EGR valve
best advice is to find a suitably qualified technician to diagnose this vehicle

late reply.
I have 2014 diesel outlander aspire.
I was driving home from sydney to Brisbane 12 months ago.
about half way the car sorted of jolted, the dashboard lit up and the car went in to limp mode.
I pulled over when safe a got out my obd2 reader, which gave some codes.
I wiped them and started off , but only got 500 metres before it happened again.
in limp mode I was stuck in 3rd gear (it's an auto but the dash said 3rd, and could even manual change the gear - i've got that semi-manual thing with the paddles)
whilst stuffing about at 11:00 PM and 500 kms from home I detached front air pressure sensor and cleaned the intake line to make sure that was not fouled. - no change.
next I disconnected the MAF and found that I could drive normally, but the car was extremely sluggish taking off - soooo slow, and would it get past 90 kms an hour.
finally made it home and ordered a new MAF and a solenoid vacuum valve - I was googling/guessing it could be either of these.
replacing both of those made no difference.
so I drove it with out the MAF connected for 2 months.
finally booked it in to a mechanic who knew what they were doing (1st mechanic i visited (my regular- whom i've stopped going to) said "your car is 10 years old and the turbo is stuffed - buy a new car", 2nd mechanic shrugged and recommended the 3 rd mechanic)
3rd mechanic identified, after thorough inspection, said that the intake manifold was blocked with diesel/carbon build up.
they "sand blasted" the block (I'm not a mechanic) . they actually used crumbed walnut shells for the blasting because they work.
and the intake manifold they placed in a sonic cleaner over night.
anyway, after a week they returned my car with out any errors and driving as normal. - it's been 3 months now and the car drives like new.
choked up intake manifold
