Default outlander bsy engine
hi i am thinking of buying a 2008 outlander with the bsy 2.0l diesel engine.which came from vw i am wondering is it the same as a vw bLb engine which seemingly was very troublesome with a major design fault ie the oil pump was chain driven off the crankshaft has anyone had any problems with this engine? thanks

I know these are belt driven so would assume its a different engine
