I have just bought a 2006 outlander and just wondering what the light is with a picture of a key with a line through it the writing under it is in japanise.

 

Do you have a FAST key system? My '11 Outlander Sport shows that symbol when the car is running but the FOB is not in the vehicle.

 

Or key battery is low.

With actual picture it would be much easier to help.

 

Yes it does have a smart key and the light stays on even when the key is in the car, We have managed to change the settings into English and it says that a service is needed but in another screen it says that the service is not due for another 11 months as a service has recently been done so this has realy got me stumped. I am also going to put a new Battery in the key in case that is the problem but I will have to say the Outlander is the best car I have owned.

 

to fellow mitsubishi outlander, i have a 2006 mitsubishi outlander ls my speed, rpm, fuel and temp gauges wont work most of the time when im driving it dyes out have to tap it for it to come back on has this happend to anyone else also how did you fix it and also my engine light wont go off and ive changed the oil and etc.
