Default Outlander Diamond 2007 Bluetooth problems

Hi Guys just bought an Outlander Diamond, all good and very happy but I have an issue with connecting my phone. I press the 'speech' button on my steering wheel and say 'Pair' but get no response at all. I have followed the manual letter by letter but nothing happens. Is this a common problem or have I just got unlucky. Any help advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!

Do you have the Hands Free module? Some of the Outlanders came "hands free ready", meaning all the wiring is present and steering wheel switches, just waiting for the module to be nstalled in the well behind the radio.

Hi Buddy, thank you for responding, yes I have the module, and the microphone is attached in the light console. I have unplugged the Bluetooth module and plugged it back in just in the hope of resetting it, but that didn't work. If i press info on the MMSC it shows mobile phone in the list, but As far as i'm aware you cannot pair a phone manually you have to use the speech button. I also see a 'green' mobile phone icon on my satnav display. Hopefully I will find a solution because other than this problem I am very happy with the vehicle!!
