Folding mirrors are available anywhere but in North America (not sure about Australia, but European and Russian and Japanese Outlanders can fold mirrors from the remote).

 

BTW,
Somthing really strange happen with those folding mirrors.
The dealer noted me in the delivery stage that the right and left mirrors fold different
(another customer notice it and they had to check it).

I will send pic later today, but gennerally one mirror fold more close to the vehicle and the other one not.

the dealer told me that he have checked some Outies and all their mirrors act the same.

Does anyone know what is the purpose for this design?

 

The dealer should be the LAST source of information, after you've asked you wife, your kids and your pets.
