They are new take-offs from a Lincoln MKS. 19x8 255/45-19's

good info, now we know we can go as wide as 255 on the outlander
would you know the offset of those rims?

Yes it's 44 mm. I had to have the center bore enlarged - the local wheel repair shop did it for $20 each.

your tire sidewall must be close to the struts, eh?

Actually no, I'd say at least a half inch or so.
