Default Outlander revving problem.

Hi I've a 2003 mitsubishi outlander, the car has a bad idle, check engine on and won't rev pas 4000 rpm..
I scan it,it gives me code 22 crank angle sensor.
Well I changed the sensor, burt problem persist.
I've changed the cam angle sensor as well, clean the throttle body, but still the problem is there.
Today i started the car bad idle, suddenly it start idling good, engine rev too 6000, so i drove it and everything seems ok.
Went back home, shut a car off , after 30 min went back and boom the problem is back again.
I really don't know what is going on.
If someone have an answer for me pls let me know...

You need a scan tool that can read what that sensor is reporting...or you need to check it with a multimeter at the very least...

Could be a broken or partially broken wire or a bad ground up to a ecu problem worst case...

Hi Norman,
I have a 2005 Outlander XLS, and had all sorts of idle problems, also later had the "Service engine soon" light come on.
Don't know if this will help, but the idle after several months of trying all kinds of things like yourself, was a quick fix, the throttle cable was too tight, and just needed to be adjusted at control unit on the passengers side under the mood (With the large spring and TP sensor).
The service engine soon light could be one of many things, mine was the EVAP purge Solenoid Purge (Seized), the code reader for that was P0441.
Hope this helps.
Brian

I would check and clean up all your grounds first, like said before, use a multimeter and make sure the sensor is getting voltage at least.
