On my DiD 2.2 diesel engine I perform annually a "small fuel quantity injection" calibration procedure (I have MUT-3 which is needed). Maybe patrol engine require similar calibration as well?
The mechanical parts wear out and this calibration is basically a timing adjustment of the injectors in ECU for a better power effect and fuel economy.
