Outlander Turbo (tuning)

RE: Outlander Turbo (tuning)
So you shaved .5 seconds off your 0-100km according to the link. Is that similar to our 0-60 MPH? The rest of the stuff I'm not familiar with. Unfortunately I don't do conversions well. What is the translated gains in HP and TQ...anyone know off hand? I'm not asking someone to research it for me, but some people just know that conversion for some reason.

Sorry for replying to myself guys, not usually this lame.
Did they share with you where in the RPM range these gains were occuring? Were they static gains or fluctuating throughout the RPM's? just curious as to where the gains were. Did they email you one of their dyno tests?

RE: Outlander Turbo (tuning)
Power [HP] at a speed of 5500 min-1 202 Power [HP] at a speed of 5590 min-1 235
Torque [NM] at a speed of 3500 min-1 303 Torque [NM] at a speed of 3320 min-1
And no, I have not seen a dyno sheet on this one.
Car works great but it is very thirsty, (1,6L/10Km) of course it depends on my driving style[8D]

RE: Outlander Turbo (tuning)
The car is thirsty from the beginning, 10-11 on the highway and 14-16 in the city.
Have you done any other mods, like intake or exhaust? Just thinking about intake kit, since that would let the turbo spool faster and would make the car better to drive.
Do you know any european countrys that offer something for the Turbo?
Regards,
Rain

No, no firm besides digitaltuning in Switzerland that I have seen with anything for the outy.
And no, no more mods at the mpment, I'm thinking about taking of the cut and replace with a straight pipe...

RE: Outlander Turbo (tuning)
Hi Guys!
Here it is
Mitsubishi Outlander Turbo 2005
15000 Km. ECU-tuned to 235 hp /torque 379 Nm
Performance test.
40-70Km/h on 2,nd gear 2.10 seconds
30-70Km/h on 2,nd gear 3.21 seconds
70-130Km/h on 3,rd gear 7.69 seconds
70-130Km/h on 4,th gear 9.26 seconds
50-150Km/h on 4,th gear 14.71 seconds
All testing has been manually done 3 times and it is the average value you see here.
The car is full of fuel and all tests began 10 km/h below the starting speed, just to let the turbo charge, so when testing 70-130km/h I put the pedal to the metal at 60 km/h, starting the stopwatch at 70 and stopped it at 130 and so on…
So it would be nice to see you make the same test with an original outlander turbo, that way we can see if the ECU tuning have made a difference.
I skipped the 0-100 test because it tears so much on the car and it is to individual between different drivers and their skills.
No top speed test yet, I’ll be back later with one

RE: Outlander Turbo (tuning)
The Airtrek is in Japan, same as the Evo Wagon. The EVO Wagon was produced in limited numbers and for only one year to my knowledge, I believe 2004. Both are much more suited for aggressive driving than the Outlander, obviously the EVO kicks @ss... posts times similar to the EVO VIII it was based on.
