I'm trying to understand how one side of the overhead camshaft is clean and the other side is dirty with sludge on 3.0 L V6 2012 Outlander. it has 136000 miles See pictures below. Also, the intake plenum has carbon built up all the way to the throttle body. I found someone mentioned that it could be caused by a failing PCV valve. The PCV valve is located on the dirty side. Could it be low oil pressure getting to the camshaft on the dirty side?
