Default P235/70R16 Tires

For those who already used this size, can you give us some updates and experiences(good or bad) you guys encountered. Also anyone of you guys would recommend all-weather tires like Nokian and Hankook Optimo 4S?

I'm also interested in finding out about that size tire too. would it work if the OEM are 215/70/16? Would it mess up ABS or warranty?

Have a look at the difference.

To compare size use this.

I use Toyo Open Country 235/70/16 Tyres on my 2009 2.4 CVT Deul Fuel Outlander and have covered 15000k with no signs of wear. They are very quiet. The OEM Yokahama tyres only lasted 25000k. I have traveled over most terrain including meter deep snow (without chains) and had no problems. The snow was up through steep mountains (yes we have snow in Australia) They handle very well and would recommend them. The added benefit is they ride smoother and the speedo is now spot on according to the GPS.
Hope this helps.

i am riding on 235/70r16 Yokohama I/T GO72 winter tires witout any clearance issues.
actually, still plenty of clearance left that i think a 245/65r16 would fit. the added benefit of the 235 over the OEM 205: 1. smoother ride, and 2. spot-on speedo reading based on GPS.

i have had good experience with the Nokian both WR and WRG2 and i will highly recommend them if you plan to have only one set of all rounder wheelset.

by the way, my summer set is 235/55r18 Yokohama Parada Spec-X.

Salamat kabayan. Thanks for the info. Planning to buy WGR2 soon. We'll probably getting harsh winter(?????) here in Toronto.
