Default Paint chipping no joke!

I see someone else has mentioned this issue, but everyone else seemed to think it was a joke. I waxed my outie last week and saw some paint chipping on the passenger side near the wheel well. It is almost like road debris is flipping up or something. But weirdly it is in front of the wheel, not where things are usually thrown up. I have an 04 AWD. Please all you owners out there check close to see if you see anything like this and let me know. The pics are not the greatest because it is hard to capture them. Thanks

Mitsubishi seems to suck at paint.

It was not a joke. Just because pictures are not loading in your browser, it doesn't mean it was a joke. But I don't have this issue though. Paint is intact, and as good as showroom condition. Looking at your tire, you must be doing some off-road stuff. Paint is paint, it's no match for gravel or hard debris hitting it at 80-90mph. Maybe the mudguards can help prevent this. Using your vehicle everyday will cause damage. Daily wear and tear is a fact of life, or else our vehicles will last forever.

For your paint to chip something must be getting kicked up and your tires look a bit worn out on the edges. What kind of roads are you driving on?

amen, i have only seen paint fall off itself, when chevy started using those galvanized panels on their ck1500 pickups, and then, the only reason those fell off was because of improper painting techniques....

paint is tough, but not that tough

I agree with David. Mitsu SUCKS at painting cars... actually, Id sooner blame Mopar, as these cars (for the most part) were painted at their facilities.

First let me say to rcpax that I live in a new construction neighborhood that has mud in the streets from time to time. I do not do any off roading. And the tires are basically new (Yoko AS430), I replaced the factory Yoko Geolanders because they were terrible. I think they just look bad in the pic, at the time the tires were dirty. And secondly how does the road debris get thrown up in front of the wheel. No mud guard will stop that. I am puzzled as to what is hitting to make the paint chip. It is just on the passenger side. Not the driver. I take very good care of my outie and just wanted to see if others ever noticed the same thing.

Well paint doesnt fall off the size of pen tip in random spots for no reason. Chips in front of your wheel well may be rocks getting kicked up by cars in front of you. Do you follow close to other vehicles?

Oh but of course there are pictures its my show car.
