PAINTED YOUR BRAKE DRUM EXTERIORS?
Hello all:
Any of you with the older model Outlanders (with rear drum brakes) painted your ugly rusty drum exteriors? If so, what did you use and in what color?
I am planning to do mine soon. I guess the most basic would be black. My exterior paint color is dark blue, so perhaps something other than black would look nice.
I can't believe that those things are left without any color - they are so visible through the alloys wheels (ugly rusting things that make the vehicle look old and not properly maintained - amazing that they were not addressed during the design phase.

I did not paint my drums- not my look. I will say that if you decide to paint them, be sure and do it right. I would rather see weather beaten drums than a peeling paint job on drums. Buy the correct paint and prep properly!
