ORIGINAL: azchipka

Want the glove box cooling unit no sunglass holder for me
My Uk outlander as the glove box cooler as standard and its crap. Its not very powerful and takes a feed from the ventilation system. You would need to crank the fan speed to max even then it does not work well

I've ordered ten of the cooler box switches and one tube it will take a few weeks to get them.

i believe the hose can remade by a cheaper source so i ordered one to use as a template.

Mitsupartsman, can you look this item up? It's the Cargo Area Protector - Full Cover? This would be more important for me to get since my hobby is salt water aquariums, and I have to lug big 5 gallon jugs filled with salt water (that slide around in my other car ('03 Outlander). I'd like to protect my unscratched plastics in the rear of my '08 XLS.

The switch is $20.00 the tube I haven't gotten in yet but my feeling is any 1.25" flex hose would work fine.

and be cheaper.

Today I installed **** (P/N 8042A013) for cooler glove (thanks mitsupartsman). Now, I wait the OEM hose to complete the installation. . .
